Thomas Henry LENNOX was born Dec 12, 1878 in Goderich (Londesborough), Ontario, son of Elizabeth GARRETT and John LENNOX (1840-1881+). ** His birth record indicates that he was “illegitimate” – his mother: Elizabeth GARRETTE, spinster of Mullett (?).

Annie: From what I have been able to gather, Thomas’ father was John LENNOX, possibly from Londonderry (Ireland?).
Census of 1881 in Mulmur, ON:John LENNOX, age 41 (born 1840 in Ireland); wife Anna, age 40 (born 1841 in Ireland). Children (bon in ON): Joseph W.L. (age 16), Elizabeth E (15), Samuel J (13), Mary J (11), Robert J (10), Anna B (8), Margaret I (7), Louisa B (5) and Thomas H (age 3). ** Mulmur Twp is SW of Barrie.
Annie: Looks like John LENNOX must have died at some time between the Census of 1881 and 1891. Census of 1891 in Township of Nottawasaga (west of Toronto): Widow Annie LENNOX, age 49. Children: Louisa (age 15) and Thomas H (age 14).
Census of 1901 in RM of Louise, Manitoba (2-11-W1): Henry LENNOX, Teacher, age 22 (born Dec 12, 1878 in ON). He’s in the household of his Uncle Joseph WALLACE (age 49; born in England). ** This location is south of Pilot Mound in southern Manitoba.
Annie: I wonder how my grandfather ended up as a high school principal in Saskatchewan (?). It seems odd that he would have left there to become a doctor, graduating in 1913.
In 1916 Thomas started his medical practice in the east end of Montreal.

On Apr 26, 1917 Thomas Henry LENNOX marred Annie Laura “Dolly” THOMAS at Methodist Trinity Church, Montreal, daughter of Elizabeth HENRY and James Leith THOMAS (1829-1902).

Census of 1921 in Montreal (29 Arnott): Thomas H LENNOX, age 42; wife Annie L, age 42, and son Robert H (age 2). Servant: Lottie ROBSON, age 21 (born 1900 in England).
Annie: He was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of the Order of the Scottish Rite of Montreal.

In 1951 son Robert married Elizabeth Graham LAW, son of Janet Paton HYNDMAN and Ronald Graham LAW (1895-1964).
On Jun 21, 1951 Dr. Thomas Henry LENNOX died in Montreal.
On Mar 5, 1954 Annie Laura (nee THOMAS) LENNOX died in Montreal.
