Hi, I'm not sure if this is the same William Moore/Moar the dates seem close but in 1930's my grandmother received a letter from the Australian government to come and claim his estate. So as far as we knew he had no children. You can imagine trying to get to Australia from Manitoba in the 30's.

Hi Gary, Yes the song he sang was blue velvet band not red river valley, the good old day's. I think my cousin would remember the family more than I, as she was closer to their age , ill ask when I see her and post.

Hi again, Just another little update....Campbell Ratt lived in a log cabin at the mouth of the red river,this was part of the reserve. He later lived in a cabin at Chalet beach. All his children went to school in Matlock. He had I believe 2 daughters and 4 sons, im not sure of his wife's name. One c...

Hi, as a child I remember Campbell Ratt , he road his bicycle around Matlock , he would be singing the song red river valley, also he would have a carrier basket on his bike where he sold fish from. Hi, just a quick note on how I tie in with the Settee's . My great aunt Louise Moar married John Richard Settee. Louise Moar's brother Robert Moar was my great grandfather.

Hi Gary, On the back of the picture I sent you by email it says Dr.C.J.Calder , Can.Eng.Batt. France. So to me the picture was taken in France, but was there a Dr. Calder. Let me know if you find anything out.
