Re: JOSEPH TURNER (1783-1865)
I now have a paper trail listing my 3x great grandmother Elizabeth Turner as a daughter of Jospeh Turner. A sister Matilda Turner appears as living in her household on the 1871 census, and again as witness at a local baptism in 1876. Well today I found Matilda's marriage cert on Ancestry.com and it ...

Re: RICHARD GOOD (1780-1850)
re: my connection to Emma Good My 3x great grandmother was Margaret Moore. (b. 1832-4) She died March 4, 1907 at Whitefish Point, Mich. Her Death cert says she was born at Hudson Bay, and lists Parents as George Moore and Emma Good. The 1861/2 Candadian Census has the Moore family living in Algoma D...

Re: JOSEPH TURNER (1783-1865)
I'm from Soo, Mich now living in Minneapolis. Great-grandmother was Agnes Roussain, the daughter of J.J. Roussain and Jane Moore Trescott. Roussains fished Batchewana Bay as early as 1849. I am sure they are related to all the other Roussains running around the Lake Superior region, but I have found...

Re: JOSEPH TURNER (1783-1865)
Greetings! There must have been more than one Emma Good. My 3x great grand mother Margaret Moore's 1907 Whitefish Point, Michigan death cert lists her parents as George Moore and Emma Good. Emma Good is listed with her family in the 1861 Canadian Census as Emma Moore living in Algoma, Indian, aged 4...

Re: PHILIP TURNOR (1751-1799)
Best way to trace your ancestors is to begin with your parents/ grandparents and then work back in time, rather than the other way around. Who, when and where were your grandparents? I did work backwards and that is how I got here. No that is one of the Duluth Roussain/Roussins. Very confusing beca...

Re: PHILIP TURNOR (1751-1799)
Greetings! Any thoughts on this? I am wondering if my 3x great grandmother Elizabeth (Betsy) Roussain of Mamainse, ON could possibly have been the daughter of this Joseph Turner Sr. Guy. 1871 and 1881 census has her as being born 1818-19. 1861 census at 1826. The "real" Elizabeth is docume...
