I knew that book would come in handy! Unfortunately, her bibliography does not state where the article "Excerpts from Francis Henry (Frank) Bird's History" (has a photocopy picture of the couple with "Frank and Millie Bird" below it) came from.
She does mention using the book "Settlers between the ...

Re: JAMES CURTIS BIRD (1773-1856)
Yes, we are related "Bird" but you would be closer to my dad, as John Thomas Bird is your great grandfather but is my great, great grandfather.
According to Ruth Silde's book, Francis Henry Bird was married to Mae Brown and then had a second wife named Amelia Oberg. Is this correct?

Re: JAMES "JIMMY JOCK" BIRD (1798-1892)
I understand what you're saying. The book I'm referring to has two William Birds.
One, who is son of James Sr. and born in 1803 and one who is the son of James Jr. who was baptized in 1835.
If this is the same William, I can hardly imagine one getting baptized in their 30's.
The HBCA states a ...

Re: JAMES "JIMMY JOCK" BIRD (1798-1892)
As for the children of James Jr. not discussed, I thought I would add the information from “Descendants of James Curtis Bird” compiled by Ruth Silde, daughter of May Bird, granddaughter of John Thomas Bird.
These children are from the marriage with Sarah Bulls Heart (in addition to what has been ...

Re: JAMES CURTIS BIRD (1773-1856)
I just posted a new Family Page regarding your Letitia BIRD and McKAY ancestors at this link:
CHARLES RICHARD McKAY (1808-1873)
I look forward to comments from you and your father under that Forum Topic.
I failed to follow the connection of these two. Could you please explain more?

Re: JAMES CURTIS BIRD (1773-1856)
Yes, there's family in and around the P.A. area still but more so in the past.
My great grandparents are Burton Jobe (Sept.7 1883 to 1937) and Mabel Alice Bird (June 19 1886 to 1965.)
My grandmother is Rubina Frances Jobe (July 1. 1918 to 1998.)
I'm interested to know the name your cousin. Small ...

Re: JAMES CURTIS BIRD (1773-1856)
Hello there, I’m really amazed at what you’ve done here! Thank you for such a great service!
James Curtis Bird is my 4th great grandfather and my 3rd, is his son William Bird who married Venus Hay.
My distant relative (who I’ve not met) with the user name “Bird” who mentioned William here, is IMO ...
