Re: WILLIAM TAYLOR HEARN (1860-1928)

I'm sorry, that is my fault, it's garyboratto@gmail.com. I have no idea how I could misspell my own name!

Re: WILLIAM TAYLOR HEARN (1860-1928)

Percival Hearn's Officer Declaration Paper, Dated Aug 27, 1918 gives an account of his service, and the abbreviation R.N. Appears under the item "Give particulars of any former military service" At that timer, from what I can find, the abbreviation did not stand for "registered nurse&...

Re: WILLIAM TAYLOR HEARN (1860-1928)

He graduated from the U of T in 1915, the year before he signed up. That we are sure of, but the RN is rather odd indeed.

Re: WILLIAM TAYLOR HEARN (1860-1928)

Hello Gary (Still), thanks for posting the items on the Hearn Family. William Hearn (1830) did indeed come from London, and married Jane Taylor. I have managed to trace the Hearn family back through records originally started by my wife's aunt, the late Mary Telfer Hearn. She published a great deal ...

Thanks! I found the marriage record of Isabella Groves and James Keith Gray.We looked for it for a week or so a few months and then gave up, assuming it was lost, but of course it was online, so I have printed a copy and refiled it. The date is 13 May, 1920 For the license to marry. The date of the ...

Re: ANDREW GROVES (1869-?)

I did not expect to see this information, so thank you, Gary (Still)! I do not recall and British Us war in 1886, and though there is a book about, I think it is fiction... I think the last time it was close was when Lincoln was President and Prince Albert intervened. Andrew Groves was born on March...

Re: ANCIENT STILL ANCESTORS OF ABERDEENSHIRE, SCOTLAND

Hi Gary Of course you are right, as I have fallen victim to doing this at 2am in thew morning. I merely wanted to point out that it is easy to confuse Jane and Jean not that anyone married their father in law, so I should have used a name instead of a referent. I have reviewed it, eliminated the Not...

Re: ANCIENT STILL ANCESTORS OF ABERDEENSHIRE, SCOTLAND

Hi Gary I put this together to help you see if you connect, this is just a thumbnail and there are some missing bits of information. I have started to sort most of the Still families as best I can so far, but it still needs work, this is what I have on my wife's line to the Stills so far, starting w...
