Re: Spence, Whitford, Norn, Macaulay

A note on the John Macaulay (not sure of spelling) reference: There are two families combined here. A note on the images accompanying Charlotte Small... I cannot attest to the painting but the photo is of Olive Oatman 1837-1903. She has a Wikipedia entry:

Re: JEAN BAPTISTE FONTAINE (1798-1873)

Hi Gary and thank you. Yes, I saw that but I was wanting to see the original record. Ancestry.com has the Minnesota Territorial census records but the Fontaine entry appears to be missing.

Re: JEAN BAPTISTE FONTAINE (1798-1873)

Hi there :) I am curious about finding this record (It does not appear on Ancestry.ca/com) "In the 1850 US Census of Minnesota Territories, Jean Baptiste FONTAINE was recorded as hunter, age 60; wife Isabelle as age 40. Children were recorded as Marguerite (age 22), Jean Baptiste Jr. (20), Mois...

Re: PAUL FONTAINE (1850-1921+)

Hi Fontaine people :) I have recently established my connection to 2x great grandparents Paul Fontaine and Julie Sylvestre via DNA. It's a bit involved but interested parties can read about it here: http://williams-thomas-doran.blogspot.ca/2017/01/how-i-established-my-fontaine-lineage.html Also, we ...

Re: PAUL FONTAINE (1850-1921+)

Hi all... another grateful thanks is extended to Gary for the amazing work he has done on this site. Paul Fonataine 1850-1921 is very likely my 2x great grandfather. Since I am adopted I cannot say for sure at this point but the DNA evidence is suggesting that this is very likely the case.
