JASPER STILL

Post by gnstill » Mon May 30, 2011 10:25 am

Murray, the gravestone you saw in St James was baby Jasper STILL. He was born Aug 4, 1914 and died two days later (Aug 6, 1914). He was a child of Edith & Charles STILL who were living at 435 Inglewood Ave in St James at the time.
Charles STILL (born in 1889) was the son of Caroline BRETT & Jasper STILL (born 1852). Charles grew up in Neepawa, MB; later married Edith and moved to St James where he worked as a Printer for the Free Press. This STILL lineage descends from Charles Jasper STILL who was born around 1779 in Ireland. As you know, our STILL’s were from Scotland, so we are not related in any way to this family.
