Merrily posted: I would like to compliment you on your interesting Red River Ancestry pages. I am new to this site, & wish to comment on a few names that I came upon while browsing.
Firstly, in the John CLEMONS page, when it mentions "associated evidence given in 1902 about the birth & death of Baby Mary, I was surprised to see my Grandfather's name mentioned, i.e., Samuel STEVENSON, son of Margaret BALLENDINE & Peter STEVENSON. This gives me a little more info. about where he worked.
In regards to the info. on Vernon RAILTON, mentioning the obit of his wife, Ethel, she was my cousin. Her "Mother" listed as Esther ISBISTER was correct, as Aunt Esther married George ISBISTERr in 1939, after Bert died. Ethel was actually adopted by Esther & Bert PRUDEN. Her actual Mother was Edith HARPER, & her birth name was Ethel SINCLAIR.
Other names mentioned in the family pages of SINCLAIR, is Matilda WEST, daughter of Morrison WEST & Maria THOMAS, they being my Gr. Grandparents.

Esther STEVENSON was born Dec.23,1881 to Samuel STEVENSON & Rachel WEST. She married Benjamin Albert Kamloops PRUDEN (Bert) on Dec. 6, 1905. The Stephenson on the marriage certificate from Vital Stats was a spelling error which often happened in those days when they gave their info. After Bert died, she married George ISBISTER, hence the name on Ethel RAILTON obit. was Esther ISBISTER.

Merrily posted Mar 9: Kamloop McLean was born to Mary McLeod, Oct. 10, 1911, & registered as adopted on Feb. 5, 1912 by Bert Pruden who was married to Esther Stevenson at that time. He was listed as a Guardian. Also,Vital Stats., shows Mary McLeod gave birth on that date in 1911 to Kamloop, last name given as McLeod. His actual Father is not formally known but rumored to be a man with the last name of McLean.

Thanks yet again Merrily!

It’s great to have your help in solving all these puzzles. I have updated Bert’s page; check it out and let me know if I still have any mistakes there. Link: FAMILY PAGE for BERT PRUDEN

Frustratingly, now we have some new puzzles. Who was Mary McLEOD and who was Kamloop’s father, McLEAN?

Hi Gary
I figured out who is Esther's second husband. He is John George Isbister (1877-1963) son of Alexander Isbister (1852-1925) and Emily Saunders (1885-1886). The info is posted on Ancestry.
