Welcome to the Forum Cathy

That’s very interesting information, but I need more information to be able to check it out properly.
What was the source of your information?
Do you have a maiden name for Maria?
Birth dates, places, etc would be much appreciated.

Sorry but Maria's maiden name was Flett. I have the info from the marriage record of James Alfred McLennan to Mary Elizabeth Bear from the Diocese of Rupertsland. I also have a copy of Mary Elizabeth Bear's family tree.

Also, do you want dates and places for McLennans or Bears? I am married to Eileen McLennan' grandson ( James McLennan's great grandson)

I’m certainly glad you came along!

I would love to have a copy of the BEAR family tree with more dates and places. I have lots of info on the BEAR families but I still can’t seem to find where John James BEAR fits in.

Who died Eileen marry? I have seen her 1999 obit but can’t figure out who she married. Her children were Gordon & Alice. Which one is your grandparent?

Alice is my husbands mom. Eileen McLennan never married. We received some info re the Bear family tree years ago - Peguis family came looking for us as they had no info about Mary Elizabeth Bear (the sister of John James Bear/William Robert Bear -same man-). She lost all treaty rights when left the reserve to marry James Alfred McLennan.

I'm still confused (no dates, etc to go on).
Is it possible that you could send me a copy of the BEAR family tree you mentioned?
