Interesting Story,
I was recently contacted by a descendant of William Richard ‘Sharkey’ Thomas and Christina Anderson complaining about how I had posted the wrong information for Sharkey’s family on ancestry. It seems he had told all his children an entirely different story. I ask her to visit this page so she could confirm the truth.
William Richard Thomas changed his identity to William RUSSELL Thomas of Wales. In fact, the family even when to all the trouble of posting it on his grave.

I was wondering why nobody was actively work on this part of Thomas family. The sad thing is something terrible happen and William had a need to hide who he was to protect himself and his family.

Interesting Beth! I did some work on “Sharkey THOMAS” but never got it to the point of creating a Page for him (not a priority). Christina died in 1978 in North Kildonan at the age of 84.
