Just fire away Joan. I wrote the narrative and I can change it. Are you related?

Aha! - Joan Beaton! Nice to hear from you.

As a teenagers we used to frequent Norm’s service station at Mapleton. He let us have used oil to put in my old Model T which took more oil than it did gas.

What corrections or additions do you have?

P.S. I’m about to shut-down so won’t be able to respond until tomorrow.

I might have sent this message twice , if I have I apologize .The Burzuik indicated on the map on Calder road is the home of Peter & Dorothy Burzuik .Wasyl was born Aug.14,1884 , died Mar.29,1966 Paulina was born Aug.24 ,1889 ,died-Sept.15,1959 .They lived on Lot 24 , St.Andrew's , almost directly across from Pruden Ave on Hwy 9a , where the new part of the Mill now is located . Their son Joseph served in WW2 as well in the army. DOB for Michael -Dec.9,1912 Died May24,1994, Peter- June 17,1915 Died Aug.4 1972 ,Eleanor- 1918 Died Mar.3,1936 , Joseph died Mar.21,1982 , Norman- Died Dec.8 ,1993.The correct spelling for Kenneth's name is Gencyk he died June18,1943 .I am just getting back into the Burzuik family history & have connected with a Face Book , Ukraine Geneology Group that have been most helpful . I will forward any new info or any that you might want . I don't remember the service station when Dad had it but do recall hearing stories about it . I'm glad he helped with the oil ,lol !
I also wanted to add to my Mom's parent's ; Neil McKay McRae DOB March 31, 1893 , Died July 3, 1982 , Mary Helen Kirton DOB-Dec.22 ,1900 Died-Feb.6 1924 . Norman & Betty (nee Mcrae ) Hawes entered into a C/L marriage in 1956 & were married Dec.19 ,1970 . Betty's DOB Mar.21,1933- Dec.20 ,2012 .

I have updated Wasyl’s narrative and I hope I included all of your corrections. Thanks very much for your input. It would be nice if you had pictures of him and/or his wife that I could add (or a family photo perhaps).

Thank-you for the changes & I will post pic's of the family soon . Would you please change the date of Norman & Betty's relationship to 1956 NOT 1950. They were not together in 1950 . I was wondering where you received your info from . Thank's Joan

Sorry Joan – I missed that one. My 1950 date was only an approximation.
