Hi, I am Madeleine and I am the grand-daughter of Benjamin Morrison. Grampa Ben was killed in a freak mill accident when my dad was three or four years old. One of our uncles gave my mother this picture and had it restored as it was torn up. He told us that it was my dad's dad. We just naturally assumed it was Ben. However, recently we learned that, although it is my dad's dad, it is actually my dad's step dad. This picture is of Joseph Francois Napolean Antoine Lauzon. At the age of four, this is the only dad my father new. I do have a family picture of the entire Morrison family, that is of Ben Morrison and his five children. Thank you for your site. I find it informative and interesting, especially because it includes my direct family

That’s intriguing Maddy! It seems to add a whole new dimension to the story.
It would be wonderful if you could send that family picture (and the LAUZON picture) as an Email attachments so I could add them to the narrative.
Who were your parents?
When and where was Joseph LAUZON born and who were his parents?

I've sent the email wish the picture of Benjamin Edward Morrison with his family. I hope this is of some help to update your Morrison records.

Thanks again for the pictures Maddy. I have added them to the narrative.

I also added new information about Flora’s marriage to LAUZON that I found (from Leola LAUZON). Please review what I added and let me know if I made any errors.

Maddy I believe I have seen a document at my father's house about your grandfather Benjamin Morrison. I will double check on it. My grandfather Angus was born in Speers, SK - Charlotte Smith and Norman Morrison were his grandparents and my great grand grandparents.

Hello "cousin". I was excited to see your post. I have been looking for graveyard records for our great great grandfather Angus who came with the Hudson Bay Company from Scotland. I thought I found your great grandfather at the Kildonen Presbyterian (sorry for bad spelling) Cemetery, but unfortunately was wrong. I would love to see or read what you have about Ben. I do have a newspaper article about his tragic death in a mill accident. I have Norman's great site, and believe Ben is buried beside him, but no marker.

Merry Christmas
