It is believed that the picture of Charles Thomas is actually Charles who is married to Hannah Mannall, I was told. I descend down from Joseph Daniel Marshall Thomas & Sophia Linklater, there son Joseph Henry who married Harriet (Hattie) Jane Becker ( Born a Moore one of six who were taken in by various families she was taken in by Charles Becker and Isabella (Bella) Thomas).

The picture of Charles THOMAS originates from the book “Beyond the Gates of Lower Fort Garry”. It was placed there by his great granddaughter Helen (nee THOMAS) HOURIE and I have little doubt that this is the Charles THOMAS who died at St Andrews.

The Charles THOMAS you are referring to was born in 1793, son of Margaret (Cree) & John THOMAS (1751-1822). He retired to Vaudreuil, Quebec in 1814 and died at Bonnechere River (PQ) in 1873. ** MORE ABOUT JOHN THOMAS
