Gary, I was glad to be able to donate (it won't be the last) as a concrete way of saying thank you for all your help and investigative work, as well as running this site.

I read the family page of Frank Miller. Thanks, there is a lot of new information for me.There is one tiny correction (that I know of) to Greg's information; Kathleen Edna Moore was Etta's daughter instead of her sister.

'Greg: In 1939 son Richard married in Winnipeg to Kathleen Edna MOORE, Etta’s sister'.

I recall John Miller. I called him uncle Johnny. He was a nice guy. I was pretty young, but I recall him taking me to the show to see a John Wayne movie. Do you know where he is buried?

May I ask what is meant by 'private' daughter?

Thanks

Wes

Thanks for pointing that out Wes. I meant to say Phyllis’ sister (correction made). That part was my mistake, not Greg’s.

‘Private’ is a term/ label used on Ancestry.com to indicate that the person is still living, or the submitter (Greg) doesn’t want to reveal the person’s name to the public). Greg’s tree seems to have been posted more than five years ago. Perhaps he is no longer a member, or he no longer frequents the site and that is why we can’t make contact. It is customary on genealogical sites not to mention people’s names if they are still living. However, I usually make exceptions where their names are already made public via obituaries or other public media. I suppose I could be wrong, or criticized, for doing this, but often that is the only way to legitimately establish family connections.

I think it is okay - i don't see anything wrong with listing the birth names of living children. It would not, in my opinion, compromise their privacy.

Ps. I sent you an email (did not look here first) , but see some of my questions you answered earlier here.

Hello there. I'm happy to have found this site . I 'be just started researching my father's family history. I am the granddaughter of frank Miller and Juliane mahrt. My father was Walter frank Miller born 1913/14 which is different from the facts on your site. He died in 2001 at the age of 88 , although he bounced back and forth about his actual age. Lol. His siblings were John, Martha, Annie , Richard, franzie (who was killed in a tragic accident)I think he was 8 at the time. My father was I think 2 years younger than franzie. Then came another child George who I think also died as an infant , then Norman and Mae was the youngest.

There was also talk of an older child Ida. Not sure if she was from a previous marriage or if she was a child of both frank and Juliane.

Welcome to the Fourum Kathy! That’s puzzling because in the census records for 1911 and 1916 respectively we seem to have both a Frank (age 2, 7) and a Walter (a baby, then age 6). Nevertheless Manitoba Vital Stats verifies that Frank Walter MILLER was born July 2, 1914 in the RM of Pembina. Mother’s maiden name: Juliana MAHRT.

Can you tell us more about your mother and her origins?

I have found a lot of new (to me) information about Frank MILLER and will be revising and updating this Family Page in the next day or so – will let you know.

Hi Gary . Yes, my mother is huguette Marie Claire boudreault. Born in the three rivers area of Quebec. I believe in the town of le tougue(not sure of the spelling). She was born in 1934. Her mother died when she was 3 years old. Her mothers family name is trembley . I think her first name was Marie Louise. She was of native origin. I think Cree . She died of tuberculosis at a very young age leaving 7 children. Paul Emile
Marguerite, Olivette, Jeanine, huguette, Maurice and Marie Claude. My mothers father is Edward boudreault. He could not take care of the children. They were raised in an orphanage . A residential school. I'm not sure where. Thank - you for your research. It is very much appreciated.

Kathy
