Hi Gary
I am still trying to sort out Isabella Mcleod's (Born April 15,1886 at Burning Lambert, Falkirk, County of Sterling), parents. I show her father as Alexander Graham, a ships carpenter and/or captain that married Ann Blythe on February 26, 1869 in Carrondire Parish, District of Grangemouth,Scotland. Obviously, she would not be on the 1881 Census. The site at
http://tompaterson.co.uk/census.php?Dwe ... us=Larbert
shows a Ships Carpenter named Alexander Graham and Wife Ann and their 6 children counted in the 1881 Census, 12 years after the supposed wedding date of 1869.
That and the fact Billy and Isabella named their first daughter Blythe also indicates to me that these were Billy's in laws.
What is the source of your "Billy married Isabella GRAHAM in Selkirk, daughter of Isabella and Robert GRAHAM. (a ‘Pitheadman’ born c1864 in Muiravonside, Stirlingshire, Scotland)." info? And what on earth is a ‘Pitheadman’?
