According to the MNC Historical Data base William Stevenson and Mary Williams had a daughter by the name of Charlotte who married William Macdougall (mcdougall) who dies before 1875, she then married a Henry B hodgson.

Regarding Charlotte STEVENSON, daughter of William STEVENSON (b-1821): I already have that information but hadn’t determined the parents of THAT William. Now that you reminded me of him I’m beginning to think he must have been a son of the elder William STEVENSON (b-1807). Will be busy for a while reviewing that situation now. Whew!! It’s getting difficult to keep up with all the inquiries I’m getting lately!

Gary, I have the page from Man.Gen.Soc., Anglican Records, showing the marriage, Sept.14 1901, of James Stevenson, son of Peter Stevenson & Margaret Ballendine, to Christie Bella Sinclair, daughter of Chas. Sinclair & Victoria Thomas. I usually try to have confirmed records before I post. Thanks.

Welcome back Merrily! I was missing you because I was hoping you could provide more information, especially regarding your own lineage.

Regarding Christie Bella’s parents: I got her parents from the Bruyere Family postings on Ancestry.ca, authored by JC_Briere who seems to indicate that Christie Bella (1883-1908) was his grandmother and that she was the daughter of Margaret KENNEDY and William SINCLAIR (1841-1900). JC has numerous postings on this Forum. I hope he will see this and respond with more information from his end.
I certainly would like to resolve the contradiction. Could you send me (be Email attachment) a copy of the Anglican Church record you are referring to?

I am anxious to hear from you with more information about your own lineage. Please tell me more about your parents or grandparents, etc. so I can see where your ancestors fit into the picture so I can do some follow-ups with your lineage.

Thanks very much Merrily for sending me that marriage document for Christy Bella which definitely indicates her parents as Victoria THOMAS and Charles SINCLAIR (1847-1926).

A message for both JC BRIERE and Marilyn (Merrily) ANDERSON regarding Margaert BALLENDINE’s origins.

I seem to have Margaret as a daughter of William BALLENDINE (1790-1869).
Firstly, am I correct in saying that this William BALLENDINE is the Great-Great Grandfather of both of you?

After poring over my files for many hours I must say that I am totally confused and frustrated with the countless versions and contradictions I’m finding about this BALLENDINE lineage and I’m going to need some help in getting this one off the ground. Help – Please!
