John's picture on FB right now is Speed Racer (he just changed it to a pic of him cleaning his bike from about 27 years ago). I've asked him to send you a friend request also.
What has got me asking all the questions is that we're just about to go on a camping trip from here to Winnipeg and back to see the places that my husbands ancestors lived, settled, and worked. On his grandmothers side they came from Norway via Minnesota to Weldon (near Prince Albert, Sask.) and you know about his grandfathers side. My husband also has family in Winnipeg from his fathers side (they immigrated from Italy in the late 50's). Can you suggest some places we shouldn't miss in the Winnipeg area?
T.

I have created a blow-up map of the Lambert’s Point area and added it to the bottom of Alex’s Page at this link:
ALEXANDER DUCHARME (1850-1934)
There are lots of historic sites along the River Road on the west side of the river. On the east side, go north from Winnipeg along the Henderson Highway to get to the area where Alex Ducharme’s river lot was.

Nice to have you back Beth. Your HALCROW lineage is fairly well covered down to
this link:
THOMAS HALCROW (1781-1854)
I also have your ancestors as Mary Ann CORRIGAL and Joseph HALCROW (1837-1906). Their daughter Margaret HALCROW b-1866 married James KNIGHT (1818-1897) who you will
find at this link:
JAMES KNIGHT (1818-1897)
Their son, James KNIGHT (1852-1928) married Margaret HALCROW b-1864. Their daughter, Elizabeth Mabel KNIGHT married
Jacob John HAARSMA (1892-1970), your grandparents.
Am I right?

Beth: You seem to have pressed the ‘Report’ symbol instead of the <postreply> button which is the proper way to reply to a Forum Topic.
DO NOT USE THE ‘REPORT’ SYMBOL to post replies.
I have re-copies your ‘report’ as a <reply> as follows:
Hello Gary it's Peter's wife who was Margaret a Southward Indian. I did see the discrepancy in the HBC archives. One thing I did notice was that the same day Peter and Christy/Christiana married, their son James was baptized June 5, 1823. My records show Margaret as being Peter's wife, James's mother. Perhaps they were the same person. James Corrigal married Hannah Anderson in 1829 and their daughter Mary Ann Corrigal b1845 married Joseph Halcrow 1837 11-16 - 1906 son of Thomas Halcrow the younger ( his parents: Thomas Hacrow the elder 1781-1856 and Mary a Southward Indian), and Charlotte nee Knight
I have also posted your reply under the Topic for Thomas HALCROW SR at this link:
