I am very curious about his middle name "Finlayson". Do you know where he got his middle name. Was his father or mother related to HBC Post Master at Pic River, Long Lake and Mitchipicoten John Finlayson, s/o HBC Chief Factor Nicol Finlayson?

I read on your Nicol Finlayson page that you have Nicol's oldest child being Anne Nancy born in 1818. That's interesting because I always thought that her name was Anne (Nancy) Mckenzie Finlayson and was born after Hector, John, and Benjamin, in fact I have her born after Joseph in 1831 which would ...
