Re: JOHN McDONALD (1823-1912)
I believe this John McDonald died 29 Nov 1912 in Winnipeg. Charlotte and his headstone in Find-a-grave, clearly shows he died 29 Nov 1912 at the age of 89. Manitoba Vital Stats show a John McDonald died on 29 Nov 1912 in Winnipeg at the age of 79. His birthdate is shown as 1822 in the 1870 Manitoba ...

Re: WILLIAM ROBERT SMITH (1797-1869)
Patricia Joan Smith made a huge contribution to the William Robert Smith genealogy. It's strange that we don't know much about her, other than she was in Vancouver and born in 1932. Do you have any more info about her? She made a significant contribution to "Branches - Chapter 1 - Grandfather T...

Re: DR WILLIAM TODD (1784-1851)
Not only are all the William Todd's confusing, the Donald Todd's are also confusing and mixed up. In particular there are: Donald Todd baptized in 1839 and his nephew Donald Todd born in 1855. Donald Todd baptized in 1839, has an HBC bio that shows he was in Saskatchewan district in the 1850's. In 1...

Re: DR WILLIAM TODD (1784-1851)
Dr William Todd's will in 1851, says his wife is Jane Johnstone with 2 sons, Albert Todd 1847- and Samuel Todd 1849-1864. Grandson William Todd (1853-) said his mother is Sarah. I suspect 2 people, a Sarah Johnstone and a Jane Johnstone.

Re: JAMES TATE (1810-1878)
In the Kipling Collection there is a burial record for a James Tait 75 years old buried in Oct 1875. This James Tait is the only James Tait in St Andrews in the 1870 Census. There is also only one James Tait of this age in the Manitoba Scrip records.

Re: JAMES TATE (1810-1878)
There seems to be some question about Lydia Tait. The Ontario Marriage record of James Porter and Lydia Tait in Stormont, Cornwall, Ontario on 17 Oct 1877, shows her parents as Peter Tait and Mary Minerva Moss. It also shows her birth place as Milleroches, Ontario in 1854. So M M Tait would be Mary ...

The Clara Williams that died 24 Nov 1939 in Winnipeg was born 6 Aug 1863. There is another Clara Williams that died 28 Jun 1950 in Selkirk, that was born 5 Nov 1881.

Re: SAMUEL FAVEL (1820-1896)
Hi Joyce. I've updated Ancestry.ca with as much as I could find on Erastus Samogan Snake Favel. He was born about 1856 in Saskatchewan district, Rupert's Land, British North America to Snake (-abt 1866) and Maria Margaret Peggy Stanley (1840-1909). You found him at Whitefish Lake in 1881. Maria Marg...
