Re: From the Land and from a Metis hereditary chief
Today a Great Skua flew by and reminded me of the long journey of the Metis. This is a rare siting indeed. Over the past year a White Eagle came, previously a White Moose twice, the gifts of the Ravens who watch over the forests have come. Recently a Peregrine Falcon came. The hawks and eagles conti...

Re: From the Land and from a Metis hereditary chief
Thank you so much, I have wanted to know more about Mary Donald. I guess that the Fiddlers are cousins. This is important to me. Does this mean that I can continue to check in with the website, or should I withdraw? Honest question in terms of respecting the Fiddler site.

Re: From the Land and from a Metis hereditary chief
I did notice that with the records and registration of birth, lots etc. Mary Donald was the person who kept the records. You may notice her signature of some of the old documents.

I don't know as much about the Fidler connection either. The one name left off is Mary Donald, otherwise perhaps I am not a Fiddler. Mary Donald, I don't know that much about.

From the Land and from a Metis hereditary chief
My name is Great Bear Woman and I was born with a birthmark in the shape of a spearhead that changes into an eagle feather. I am a Fidler too. I was born in Atikokan, a place called Caribou Bones. The history and music flow through me. We are Aboriginal peoples and for some of us the ways of the lan...
