Re: PHILIP TURNOR (1751-1799)

If you read Barbara Mitchell’s book “Mapmaker,” you will see that her research indicates that this woman may have been Cree rather than Ojibway

Re: PHILIP TURNOR (1751-1799)

Oh dna, one of my favourite topics! I wrote a blog post about the accuracy of DNA tests. I don’t know if this forum will let me post the link but: https://maltsoda.wordpress.com/2018/04/13/are-dna-tests-accurate/ (Tl;dr: Ethnicity -whatever that means- is not as “accurate” as family finding) I have ...

Re: GARY STILL (1939-2018)

Sincere condolences to Gary's family. He created a beautiful website here which is a tribute to his passion for genealogy and is appreciated by all those whose ancestors he wrote about. Re: PHILIP TURNER (1812-1882)

I retraced where I found this information, and the person has him as the son of Philip Turner and another wife named Jennie Richards. I'm not sure where he found this information.

Wendy got the information from Carolyn Tumber's book. I've contacted Carolyn to see where she got the information from.

Re: PHILIP TURNER (1812-1882)

There's a typo on this page for the birth date of Margaret Turner at the bottom on the page. Also, I seem to have more detailed information on the children and their marriages on my ancestry tree. I also seem to have picked up another child in my tree, a John Turner, who is not in the HBC bio sheet....
