Just adding to previous, it would seem that William Scotts letter would support the oral tradition of Don Norquay. The letter was written in 1931.

Hi Gary Eliza ( Elizabeth ) Kennedy is known to have the Oldest Tombstone in British Columbia dated !850. There are some Kennedys' listed in various city directories ( Hendersons etc ) for victoria which match up with the children of Fanny and John F. Kennedy. As well there are numerous entries for ...

Hi Gary Just a quick note to say I have done a bunch more research and it turns out that Charlotte McDonald died unmarried in about 1846. The Children listed as living with John McDonald in 1870 census are all his. Catherine, who also seems never to have married, James who married Sarah Matheson of ...
