Re: ASHAM

Do you just want male descendents? I had my DNA done by 23&me and Ancestry and also National Geographic so I can send you the results but I'm female! My lineage is through my great grandmother, Edith Asham, daughter of James and Elizabeth Asham, granddaughter of Price and Hannah Asham. I can try...

Re: ASHAM

Thanks for the research credit Gary but I feel that I'm still blindly wandering through the bits and pieces with the Asham/Isham/Ashim family!! I appreciate all the time and effort you put into this website for people tracing their family histories.

Re: ASHAM PRINCE (1800-?)

Hi Gary - Since we had decided that Asham Prince and Price Asham ( Isham, Ashim) are the one and the same, I found James McKillip's thesis on Norway House: http://www.ruor.uottawa.ca/bitstream/10393/.../McKillip_James_2012_thesis.pdf He mentions "Price Isham" and also "Huggy Isham&quo...

Re: JAMES ASHAM (1823-1901)

Hi Gary - this is an excerpt that I found that states Price Isham is Huggemowappew and his father in law is William Leask. It's from 1816-1817 Norway House . My theory is that Price Isham is Charles Thomas Price Isham's son ( hence the name Price) and his brother or half brother is Thomas. “Kishecae...

Re: JAMES ASHAM (1823-1901)

HI Gary - I've been trying to follow Price Asham back in time and find notes about him here and there in the Cumberland House and other HBC journals. In the Debt records, it lists William Leask as being Price Asham's father in law. Price is also called Huggemowappew or Hoggee or Huggee in several no...

Re: JAMES ASHAM (1823-1901)

Hi Gary - it's been a while since I had a look at your website - it certainly has grown!! I finally waded through all the microfisched Red River colony records 1832- 1870 and sorted the Isham's, Asham's, and Ashim's. In 1870, in St Peter's parish, Elizabeth (Bear) Ashim lists her husband as James As...
