Re: THOMAS McNAB (1782-1866)

Is Thomas' wife Mary Saulteaux 1786-1856,country wed in 1801, or is it Margaret from the double wedding in 1827? That's where I'm confused.

Re: THOMAS McNAB (1782-1866)

"Around 1801 Thomas was 'country wed' to Mary, a Saulteaux Indian. On May 10, 1802 their first child, daughter Sarah was born at Berens River." Is this Thomas' wife?

Re: THOMAS McNAB (1782-1866)

Hi, I have a question: The double wedding in 1827 is Thomas and his son, John. Thomas married Margaret. What happened to Mary?

Re: JOHN McDONALD (1823-1912)

I see Elizabeth Anderson in my research but through the Truthwaite side but I didn't know who she married. I got the info about John from the same person who said Matthew Truthwaite ventured to Canada with a brother. I think I'll have to find her phone number and plan a visit with her...

Re: JOHN McDONALD (1823-1912)

Hello Gary,
Is this the same John whose parents are Donald McDonald and Nancy Farquarson/Ferguson? I believe that they had a large family, Duncan Mcdonald being the oldest child and John the second child.

Re: Matthew Truthwaite

Edith Rosina Hood is my great-grandmother, born in England and came to Canada in 1921. I don't know Patrick Hood. I think he may be from a different family. That is the correct Sarah McDonald. Where does the "Swanson" come from? I have seen it in many family trees (eg: ancestry.com) but I ...

Re: Matthew Truthwaite

My understanding is that Hannah Kipling (wife of John Kipling) wasn't really Matthew's sister. I have seen a couple of debates over this! I saw your page on John Kipling that explains the possible relationship between John Kipling and Matthew Truthwaite. Matthew worked for HBC http://www.gov.mb.ca/c...

MATTHEW TRUTHWAITE (1753-1793)

Hello, I am a descendant of Matthew Truthwaite, born 1753 and worked for the Hudson's Bay Company. His father's name was John. From what I have found so far, Matthew had 3 children; Edward, Jacob and Mary ( I am a descendant of Jacob). Edward returned to England with John Kipling. Do you know whatev...
