Re: LEGEND OF THE SUZANNE-E (1965)

Hi Gary Allan Clemons was a classmate of mine in Selkirk Collegiate one year, so I remember the Suzanne E tragedy well. About that time I too spent a season on Lake Winnipeg as wheelsman on the Amelia Mac towing bargeloads of silica sand from Black Island to Selkirk. As I understand it, they were ca...

I don't have a DOB for her but she is younger than you show Doug and Wallace.

Ha..ha...is that an "ooops" I heard come out of my computer?

Re: JOSEPH MILTON DOBIE (1871-1968)

Hi Gary

I missed one of Joseph Milton Dobie's children a while ago and just realized that I hadn't corrected it. Please add Grace (Dobie) Woodcock to the list with Don, Isobel, Jean, Doug, and Wallace.

Thanks

Re: JOSEPH MILTON DOBIE (1871-1968)

Hi Gary Some notes on the Joseph Milton Dobie page. He had two more sons Doug and Wallace. I'm getting too old and forgetful - I can't remember which one fought in Korea. There is a story that his father James was a N. Dakota State Senator about 1895-7, and had a brother (Thomas Dobie, b. February 2...

Re: WILLIAM HUGH McLEOD (1888-1953)

Hi Gary
I don't know who was in the old place before Archie bought it. Strangely, I can't remember the subject ever coming up. I sometimes wondered about it.
By the way, McLeod is misspelled in the caption of the picture showing the old place.

Re: ARCHIBALD McLEOD (1918-1992)

Hi Gary Congratulations on the excellent job on the Archie McLeod and Billy Mcleod pages. The only misprint I could see was in the caption to the "origional house" photo on the Billy page where McLeod is shown as McLoed - a mistake I have made myself while 2 finger typing. Again great work...

Re: WILLIAM HUGH McLEOD (1888-1953)

Hi Gary Just noticed on William Hugh McLeod page line 5 reads: "On Dec 24, 1894 Billy’s father (Angus) died in Altamont, Manitou. Altamont is located NE of Morden; north of Manitou." I believe it should read: "Billy’s father (Angus) died Apr.26, 1947 at Selkirk, Man.(St. Clements Ceme...

Re: WILLIAM HUGH McLEOD (1888-1953)

Hi Gary I am still trying to sort out Isabella Mcleod's (Born April 15,1886 at Burning Lambert, Falkirk, County of Sterling), parents. I show her father as Alexander Graham, a ships carpenter and/or captain that married Ann Blythe on February 26, 1869 in Carrondire Parish, District of Grangemouth,Sc...

Re: WILLIAM HUGH McLEOD (1888-1953)

Do you mean the Christina from BC that created the web site or the person of the same name who seems to be running it from Europe now? Either way - I have no idea.
