JOSEPH HENRY PRUDEN (1893-1955)

Welcome aboard Karen

I have no personal family connection to either Sid PALMER or directly to the PRUDEN family. My only connection is through a brother-in-law who is a son of Emma WILSON & Edgar PRUDEN (1900-1973), son of Catherine JOHNSTONE & THOMAS ALEXANDER PRUDEN (1869-1945)

I have five ...

Re: James Spence

Thanks very much for sending me that stuff. After a quick review, somehow I'm not inclined to put much credence in that outline. It looks like just a bunch of notes and references that someone hastily jotted down when they visited the archives. The individual people in it are only vaguely and ...

Re: James Spence

No offense, and no apology needed Tom. I probably know the frustrations that can be encountered with erratic information as well as anyone. Unfortunately, like bad gossip, this stuff gets picked up by other people and it gets spread far and wide as if it was the gospel. I get caught off guard ...

Re: McDonalds Of Lewis and Red River

Welcome aboard Thomas!

Yes indeed, I already had most of the outline you have and for the most part mine agrees with yours.

Just by coincidence I am finishing a narrative on James SPENCE and will be posting under Ancestors in the next few days. He is also an ancestor of my sister-in-law (See John ...

Re: ASHAM

Sorry Don, that one has me stumped too.

I have checked through the online information from the Library of Archives Canada with no luck. HBC Archives online, again no luck. Can't seem to come up with anything using Google searches, etc.

Hopefully someone out there will see this and come to our ...

Query from Bryan DIX regarding Pearl Gladys STILL:
Hi Gary. I wonder if you can give me any further information about your aunt Pearl. Did she have any children ? When did she die ? etc.
William HICKMAN is my 1st cousin, 2 x removed.

Good to hear from you Don!
According to my information, Isaac ASHAM was born 1845, probably in the St Peters Reserve. He was the son of Elizabeth BEAR & James ASHAM (1823-1901). In 1865 he married at St Peters to Matilda THOMAS .
Isaac’s brother, Chief William ASHAM , was born around 1854 (same ...
