THOMAS HUMPREYVILLE (1779-?)

Gary, Do you have any information about the family of Hannah (Ann or Annie) Turner, daughter of Philip Turner 1751-1800, who married Tommy Humphreyville, sometimes seen as Umpreville? Any information would be welcome, Thank you, Pam

Re: DONALD SUTHERLAND (1779-1888)

An update on Donald Sutherland. He was born some time between 14th May and 20th June 1778 and died on 3rd December 1872 (Death Cert). His date of birth is calculated from the ages he gave at the time he signed each of his contracts. Pam (Miegunyah)

Re: PHILIP TURNOR (1751-1799)

Further to my earlier posting, I note the other entry for a Bann for a marriage of Philip to Elizabeth Armstrong on 9 October 1785, Stepney, Spitalfields. As there is some doubt about this marriage and its timing as Philip's journals indicate he was not in England at that time and he was in England ...

Re: PHILIP TURNOR (1751-1799)

Hello from Australia. I have obtained information from London, England, Baptism, Marriages and Burials 1538-1812 for Philip Turnor. Philip, son of John and Betty Turnor, was christened on 26th November 1752 in the Parish of St Mary's, Battersea, County Surrey, Borough of Wandsworth. One would think ...

Re: PHILIP TURNOR (1751-1799)

I'm posting this message on Philip Turnor's page as I think it is the most appropriate. I would really like to have (or at least read) a copy of Pearl Weston's 'Across the River' as I'm desperately looking for contemporary descendants of his family who might be able to fill in more recent history. I...

Re: WHITE BEAR aka TURNER (1780-1844)

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. As White Bear had other children than Sally Wapisk, I would like to hear from any descendant from his other children. Also sorry, when you say Miegunyah and 2 others are on line, how do I handle this? There are codes in a box to the lower left etc. which I don't un...

Re: PHILIP TURNOR (1751-1799)

Hello, everyone, This is the first time I have looked at the forum for Philip Turnor. I am descended from his son, White Bear, by way of his daughter Sally Wapisk who 'married' HBC man Donald Sutherland. I am a bit confused as White Bear's birth is given as c1780, yet Sally his daughter's birth is g...

Re: WHITE BEAR aka TURNER (1780-1844)

Gary, I'm not good at navigating online sites. Even when I look at your home page, I'm lost. Help. Yes I am Pam. I have Donald's journals and other papers from HBC so his service is well covered and I knew his descendants took the name of Bear. I'm now trying to weave your Bear family information in...

Re: WHITE BEAR aka TURNER (1780-1844)

I am descended from Sally Wapisk (Wapusk) and Donald Sutherland. I have some research notes about Wapusk and his sons trading with the HBC. I have followed his tracks and found the Wapusk famiy were in the same area as Donald Sutherland for Sally's first child to have been conceived in 1815. I have ...
