Google says from Little Britain to Headingley is only 48 km and would take only 10 hours to walk. I think Portage Trail became hwy 9.

Also the 1843 census shows that William had 2 mares, 4 oxen, 9 cows, ....4 carts, 1 canoe, ..

Rhonda, the Inkster family closely follows the history of Western Canada from strong first nations, to fur traders, to missionaries, to the Red River and Northwest Rebellions, the Irish exit, and finally the settlement of the west.

Do you know when Percy James Inkster pasted away and where? I'd also love an update on Stanton Lee Inkster' brother and sisters. I have Robert Jane (1938-) and Nancy Ann (1939-).
