Re: JOHN ROWAND (1812-1865)
Hi Gary
Great page!
BALSILLIE's first relationship was with "ANN" FLETT.
Did you know Margaret Rowand remarried in 1871? I have her obit if your interested.

Re: PETER FLETT (1812-1895)
Hi Gary According to the St Paul’s (Middlechurch) Anglican Church records at the Manitoba Genealogical Society, there are only two children born to John Balsillie and Ann Flett. Florence Ann, who was baptized on June 5, 1862 and James who was baptized on Oct 29, 1867. Nobody at ancestry knew about F...

Re: WILLIAM FLETT (1762-1823)
Hi Gary, I was reviewing the HBC Archives and the Kipling Collection and I agree with the HBC Archives. Catherine Flett is probably the daughter of Betsey and the other William Flett B or Juinor (1786- 1852). “Confused with William Flett A in Sprague and Frye, The Genealogy of the First Metis Nation...

Around 1878, you have Mary Ann's marriage listed twice and according to Man Vital Stats. Sarah Ann Massey died on May 25, 1906.

Re: AUGUSTUS JOHN PEERS (1848-1901)
Hi Gary According to my research on the family, Augustus John Peers Jr. was born on December 18, 1880. He is in the 1881 census as John A. age 4/12, with his parents, living with the Massey Family. If he had been born in Dec 1881, he would not have made the 1881 Census. The Olmstead Family Tree has ...

Re: JOHN PETER PRUDEN (1778-1868)
Hi Gary The Hudson’s Bay Archives have updated the bio sheets for John Peter Pruden and John Rowand Jr. Even though they agreed with the documented proof I submitted proving John Peter Pruden’s daughter was Elizabeth and not Margaret, they decided it was better to remove all personal information fro...
