Donald M Cameron
Donald Cameron went to war leaving his wife Laura and their three children. After three years Laura believed her husband was died and began a new relationship with someone else. She needed to take care of her family’s future! Well into this new relationship, it is announced Donald is alive! Facts are, Donald was able to erase most of his memories of the war despite his mangled leg. Laura became the biggest victim. They did have three more children. Laura had a “nerves brake down” in the later 50’s and always needed to be medicated. She didn’t want to remember or fell something…

You'll want to add Mervin Stuart McCorrister to this. Mervin was born September 29, 1920 in Portage la Prairie. He died when they landed on the beach in Hong Kong. His mother was Jane Mary McCorrister (McLean) and his father was James McCorrister. There's some news articles and photos in the virtual war memorial. My Great Grandma 'Maw' (Jane) had 5 sons in the war. There was a great piece written about her in the free press I have saved. It was done before she had received news that Mervin was killed in action.
