to gnstill,
My name is Marlene,
My records show James Thomas Sinclair Goodlad b.Jan 23,1848 Sandsting, Shetland d.March 7, 1900 Glen Mary to parents
Erasmus b.Aug16, 1801 d.June 27, 1871 and Elizabeth Sinclair b. 1805 d. Dec 1, 1857
m. July 10, 1876 in Ft. LaCorne to Mary Turner b. July 28, 1855 Ft. LaCorne d. Nov. 1943 Tisdale, Sk. buried in Glen Mary

Children-
Sarah Nov 7,1877-Jan 9, 1956
Ralph July 25, 1879-Nov 9,1909
Anna "Bella" Nov 22, 1880-April 20, 1971 m. John Alcorn Dec. 23, 1913
John Scott Oct 13, 1882-Jan 9, 1883
James William Nov. 7, 1883-July 28, 1884
William Sept 7, 1885-Feb 1887
Barbara March 15, 1889-March 1961
James Francis Dec 3,.1890-March 211891
Laura Louise Sept 1892-March 21, 1894
Thomas Sinclair "Scottie" March 16,1894-Sept 24, 1972

The 1911 Census seems off...wrong age for Mary and Scottie - he would have only been 16 or 17. This Bella and Mary were not from this family. Ralph ran the farm after James' death....he died of typhoid fever in 1909 , and around this time Mary lost her sight. She lived with her children following this - mostly her daughters Sarah and Bella.

My sister Jane and I are about to depart for Scotland and the Shetland Islands. We are going to meet some of the descendants of James Goodlad's siblings. We are very excited!
