Congratulations on the excellent job on the Archie McLeod and Billy Mcleod pages. The only misprint I could see was in the caption to the "origional house" photo on the Billy page where McLeod is shown as McLoed - a mistake I have made myself while 2 finger typing. Again great work!
I'm looking forward to your new info. I just checked the COOK link, and it wouldn't surprise me if 1/2 of the people in central North America descended from him.

The character "§" Represents a letter in the Icelandic alphabet that is pronounced "Dth" sort of.
My Father in law was Gu§jon Gu§mundson (Born May 4, 1903 at Sandy Bar, near Riverton, MB), son of Gestur Gu§mundsson, who was born 08/03/1876, at Kleifarstekkur in Brei§dalur, Iceland and Kristbjörg Jóelsdóttir, born 12/22/1870, at Skar§shamrar, Nor§urárdalur, Iceland. Gu§jón farmed at Finnsta§ir, MB, prior to moving to Ásgar§ur near Riverton, on Nov. 17, 1956, where he lived until his death on Jan. 30, 1978.
In 1932 he married Sigri§ur Ólöf Kristin "Stina" Goodmanson born 01/09/1912, at Poplar Point, Man. Stina's parents were Ásgrimur Goodmanson, born ca. 1890, at Riverton, Man. and Gu§run Jóhannesdottir Magnússon, born ca. 1890 at Nes, near Riverton.
If you still have the family tree on file that I sent you 2 or 3 years ago, you can trace the ancestry much further back from there. Have fun!
