Now we will need some input from you David.

Tell us more about your grandfather Louis. When, where and who did Louis marry?
Please list his children and their wives (If living, you don’t have to give their birth-dates).

My grandfather Louis Lilley 1881-1963 was married to Mary Louise Canada 1905-1983. Mary Canada was the daughter of Pierre Canada and Elonore Ritchot and was born at Carmen,MB. Louis Lilley was born at St. Francis Xavier Parish,MB. The family homesteaded at Sandy Lake,MB. and later settled at Turtle Mountain and Deloraine. Most of the Lilley families migrated to Alberta in the late 1950s including Louis and Mary Lilley.

Bernard (Benny) Lilley
Helen Lilley
David Lilley (my Dad)

Does anyone have the family of Alexander Lilley and Louise McIver/McIvor? There is a Marian Agnes Lilley who married Gordon Mulvery Kroft 8 Jan 1930 in Minnedosa. I'm trying to figure out if she is their daughter.

We would need more specific clues to trace those people. When and where were they born?

Well, I don't know much about them...that's the problem! There are public trees that say Marian Agnes Lilley was the daughter of Louise McIver and Alexander Lilley, but I don't know if that's true. It's Louise and Alexander's children I am trying to trace. With Manitoba Vital Statistics I can confirm that they had 3 daughters.
Mary Janes Lilley born 27 Sep 1901 • St Daniels, Manitoba
Laura Lilley born 14 Mar 1906 • Carman, Manitoba
Mary Lilley born 29 Jul 1907 • Carman, Manitoba

I can't find the family in any census after 1906 when they are in St. Claude, Macdonald, Manitoba.

Wondering if any one has any more info. By the way, Louise McIver was the granddaughter of John Francis Grant.
