Hi there, Just a small correction... Clifford was actually Samuel's grandson, not son. I believe Sam R. was listed as a widower at the 1921 census - Sophia died young.

Regarding the photos you have posted. The one with a young Iserhoff family was borrowed from the blog site 'In Search of Samuel Iserhoff'.

Sam R. Iserhoff is on the far right. It's possibly Hannah but more likely his eldest daughter Louisa at his side then some of his younger children (right to left): John (George), David, Minnie and Sam Jr. The woman on the far left is probably Sam's mother Anne (who lived with Sam and his family in her later years). The photo would have been taken around 1905/6 at Marten Falls.

I believe the fellow who writes that blog (Clarence) found the photo in the public archives. The 2nd photo of Sam Iserhoff, a young woman and two boys comes from the collection of Tom Moore. The photo is of Sam, his daughter Annie (who married Fred McLeod) and 2 of Annie's brothers (likely George and David).

Thanks so much Jen! I have removed Clifford as a child and mentioned him as a grandson in the 1921 census.
What are your own family connections?

Annie Iserhoff was my grandmother's mother. My grandmother (who just turned 95) used to help her grandfather (Sam Iserhoff) teach Sunday school at Waswanipi. :)

Oh sorry... one more thing. Vidny. She was actually a Vadny (also spelled Vadney, I believe). She married George Miller of Pagwa.

So your Great Grandparents were Ann Caroline ISERHOFF and Frederick McLEOD (1895-1963). Is that correct? If so, do you know who Fred McLEOD’s parents were?

Quite right. Fred's folks were George McLeod (son of Alexander McLeod & Jane Turner / Turnor) and Isabella McBean.

That’s great! It verifies what I have. I presume you’ve seen the Page for your Great-great-great grandparents at this link:
ALEXANDER McLEOD (1825-1885)
