Thank you Gary,
I really appreciate you helping with the Identification. Is Alma the one on the left ?

Yes – Also note that I have also added your picture to the Page for Granny Lyons (WILLIAM LYONS) with my own caption.

Sorry Lianne – I may be wrong about the lady on the left being Alma LYONS. After further checking it looks like she is more likely Dorothy KNOTT. This would agree with the census record of 1921 which has Widow Mary ( nee POKER) KNOTT (age 33) and her daughters, Dorothy (age 14) and Mildred (age 2) at 421 McLean Ave in Selkirk. A couple of months later Mary KNOTT married William LYONS. Mary POKER had been married to Ralph KNOTT who died in 1920. Are these not your Grandmother Mildred’s parents?
I will wait for your response before I change the captions on those pictures.

What I do know Is that Mary Lyons and Alexander Lyons adopted my grandmother at a young age , it would seem from infancy . Her biological mother was Mary jane Cochrane and at her death Platje. I just found the picture earlier this year and inquired who the people were and all I was told was the two I stated earlier and the others unknown.

I guess if Mary Knott was not yet married to Alexander Lyons , Mary and her daughter took her in , and later Mary and Alexander raised her when they married. Is it possible that the older lady pictured is the mother of Mary Knott ?
