I was at the Glenbow Archives today in Calgary and took a look at a few files for these lines.

One references Sprague & Frye. Edward Prince Taylor's wife Mary Sabiston (my 4g-grandmother), to add some confusion, apparently had a younger sister, named Marie, who married John Park. She was born 1852. So I think that cleans up the discrepancy on the page.

This document is online: http://www.glenbow.org/collections/sear ... 36-723.pdf

Mary (nee Sabiston) Park's Manitoba Affidavit says she was born Mar 1852. The 1870 Census says she was 18 yrs old (1852). Based on this, I would agree that the Mary Sabiston that married Edward Taylor is NOT the same person that married John Park.
