Captain James Calder was my great great great grandpa too. James Calder, Ann Calder was his daughter, then her daughter Catherine Foulds, and her son was my grampa Samuel Forbister.

I have pretty good information down to Samuel FORBISTER (b-1865) and his two wives (Victoria CHABOYER) and Isabella KIRTON. Which of their children were your parents? How are you two related (bsingle & Allan)?

Gary, My Great Great Grands were Samuel Foulds and Nancy Ann Calder, Great grandfather and Great grandmother was David Foulds and Matilda "Tilly" McLeod Foulds, my Grandfather was Alexander Herbert Foulds and Grandmother was ellen Helen Malcolm Foulds. Thanks for all you good work.

I have a pretty good handle on all of that. However It is the FORBISTER connection I was looking for, and if/how you and bsingle are related?

Hello, James Calder was my also connected to my family. It seems your grandpa Samuel and my great grandfather benjamin Forbister were brothers

Hello, Samuel was my Great Great Grandfather, My Great Grandfather was David Foulds.
Catherin Foulds, David's sister married James Forbister, they had sons James Forbister and Benjamin.
I have a picture of Catherine with daughter Elizabeth, individual pictures son Benjamin and daughter Caroline.
