Your awesome and a huge thank you! :D To clarify, I was not harassing Eileen as she claims, I was researching and came across this site about my descendants history, and was just curious where she found the information on Elizabeth Settee Gouldhawke, this I believe was confused with her lineage under Reverend James Nelson Settee family history. My name is Sherry Marchant and thanks for this site, it takes a great deal of time, dedication and research, what great discoveries and interesting information on our families historic backgrounds. I have my descendants family tree of Halford Gouldhawke and Elizabeth Settee Gouldhawke of their children, Reverend James Settee and Sarah (Sally) Settee's grand children are as follows:

1. Frances Harriet Sarah Gouldhawke, named after her Grand Mother Sarah (Sally) Settee, b. July 23, 1871, Broken Head River, Manitoba,
d. July 30, 1951, Tacoma. Washington.
2. James Roland Cross Settee Gouldhawke, named after his Grand Father, Rev. James Nelson Settee, b. September 3, 1873, Cross Lake, Sask., d. 1881 at the young age of 8 years.
3. Halford Nathan Gouldhawke, b. November 12, 1876, Grand Rapids, Sask., d. June 9, 1903, Atakoop Indian Reserve, Sandy Lake, Sask.
4. Alexander Lambert Gouldhawke, (my deceased Grandmother's Iona (Gouldhawke) Cowles father), b. April 6, 1879, Fort a La Corne, Sask., d. September 17, 1962, Prince Albert, Sask.
5. Alice Theresa Gouldhawke, b. November 28, 1882, Mistawasis, Sask., d. March 1916, Ordale Sask.
6. John Hanson Isaac Skinner Gollege Gouldhawke, b. June 24, 1883, Mammery Plains, Mont Nebo, Sask., d. June 10, 1950, Mont Nebo, Sask.
7. George Victor Gouldhawke, b. October 1985, Sandy Lake, Sask., d. December 4, 1905, Sandy Lake, Sask.
8. Thomas Roland Goudhawke, b. March 6, 1896, Mont Nebo, Sask., d. May 29, 1967, Veteran's Cemetry, Prince Albert.

Adopted children *Adelaide Cook Gouldhawke who was Elizabeth's first cousin's child and *Katie Pruden

In Sarah (Sally) Settee's Obit it says 12 children. This would not include the two children that she raised but was not mother too in the GENi list I previously sent.

1. Jane Ellen Durie

The list of 14 children is correct and included the two mentioned above.

(For your Info) My Aunt Martha Settee Bennett (GGranddaughter to Rev. Settee) stated in her memoirs included in " From Paddles to Propellers" A History of Matheson Island that Rev. Settee baptized many (native) children in Manitoba and gave them Settee names but they were not biologically related to our family.

You seem to be repeating yourself Sherry!
In any case, I do have similar information on your GOULDHAWKE ancestors.
A reminder – I often work with people who make donations to do Special Family Pages relating to their particular lineages. More about that at this link:

Hello Eileen Hamilton,

This is the first time for me on this forum.

My g. grandfather was Halford Spencer Gouldhawke. I know that you are familiar with him and his family.

I always thought that Elizabeth Greenleaf Settee was the legitimate daughter of James Settee and Sarah Sally Cook. You have stated on the forum that she was adopted. Can you tell me how you know this?

Your help is appreciated.

Sincerely, Rod Penner

Hi,

I'm also a great-grandson of Halford Spencer Gouldhawke and Elizabeth Settee.

Thanks for the information, and if anyone could help me with any more, I'd really appreciate it.

- Mike

I'm particularly interested in the Elizabeth Settee, James Settee, Sarah Sally Cook, Joseph Cook and Catherine Sinclair line.

Found some info on some of them online but hardly anything on Elizabeth Settee.
