Hello Gary
Do you have more info on Caroline Sutherland, was she also from St. Peter's and was she a band member? Also where did you get your info from? Can you tell me why only my great grandmother was born in St.Peter's and the rest where born in RM of St. Andrews. I saw my dad today and he told me Agnes was taken to a residential school when she was a child. I can not confirm this till I talk to my mom's sister and brother.
I will look at your links today.

Thanks
Darrell

Darrel:
Regarding your great grandmother Agnes. I don't think I mentioned St Andrews at all in the J G KENNEDY Page.
I think all of John George's children were born either in St Peters or St Clements Parish. John George apparently moved around quite a bit.

Does anyone in your family know what became of John George and his family after 1906. When did he die?

Darrell: In order to present some of the other questions I had for you and to put everything into perspective, I created a family page for your great grandfather. Many of my questions are imbedded in that narrative. Here’s the link: FAMILY PAGE for WALLACE MAYO (1893-1965)

I look forward to your comments under the various Forum Topics I have preset. Please let me know if you find any errors, or if you have other information that would be of interest.
Regards
Gary

My name is Darrell and I went to visit my Grandmother's grave site this past summer in Selkirk to show my daughter's where some of their family is buried so I can give you some info.

Wallace Mayo b.1893 d.1965 My Great Grandfather
Agnes Matilda Mayo b. 1894 in St.Peter's d. 1981 Winnipeg My Great Grandmother

Frank Fraser b. 1923 in Dauphin d. 1982 Winnipeg My Grandfather
Ruth Fraser b. 1921 in Selkirk d. 1983 Winnipeg My Grandmother

Frank Sais b. 1942 in Winnipeg My Father
Elaine Sais b. 1944 in Selkirk d. 1996 Winnipeg My Mother

I hope this helps. Again if you have any questions just ask. I have my great Grandmother's obituary and it lists in 1981 as her surviving brothers Charles, Roddy and Gilbert and one surviving sister Mrs. Millie Sanderson. I was fortunate to be able to know my great Grandmother. Later in her years she ended up living with her daughter Cora. I can remember her at our many family gatherings such as Christmas.

Thanks
Darrell

Note that this Family Page has been revised and updated to include John George’s marriage to Lydia (nee SMITH) PRINCE-STENLUND. Here’s the link:

Sorry new to this forum....looking for the answer to your question with regards to Caroline Sutherland, was she Treaty? It is my understanding her parents: George Sutherland Morgan ? Born 1831 , DOD 1909-07-05 and Eleonora F. Kennedy Born ?1820, DOD 1890-11-24 ( from St. BONIFACE SOCIETY) were from Oxford House but this info from extended Family. Caroline Sutherland is my Great Grandmother.
Any information greatly appreciated and / or where I could get this information.

I found the St. Peter's Band Treaty Payment list. Pic list John George Kennedy(Agnes Mayo's Dad) and Alex Kennedy(Agnes Mayo's Grandfather). If you would like me to send you the pics then just email me. I tried to insert the pics but it wouldn't let me.
Here is the website.
