Thank you for this website. This is amazing. A great collection, well done easy to find information.

Can you please tell me what the source is of the information. Do you have the sources listed somewhere for each person/event?
I see that some of this is from their scrip documents which are located on Library and Archives Canada. I also saw HBC records. All of which is wonderful!

I am looking for the marriage certificate of Eliza (Joseph's daughter) and William Diamond.

Thank you

I have their marriage certificate, their children's information, and her death certificate.
William's life is very interesting as he was NWMP and then went to Dawson City looking for gold. He was too late and has arrest records.
He comes back to Eliza for the 1906 census but in 1911 she is a widow.
She dies in 1931. I have that record as well.

I am looking for documentation for all events. If you have that or can tell me where you found this, besides the scrips, that would be wonderful.
Thank you

Hello,

This research is amazing! Thank you for posting it. I find it fascinating learning about my ancestors!

I am a descendant of Joseph Turner. I have been researching his daughter:

May 27, 1865 ELIZABETH MARGARET TURNER (m. Joseph CHABOT)

My research says that she died in Alberta in 1924. I cannot seem to find any record of this.

Her birth is also too soon for a record from Manitoba.

If anyone has any information on her, I'd be grateful for you to share it!

Thanks so much!

To look for a death certificate in Alberta use the Provincial Archives of Alberta (PAA)
The death main page is at: https://provincialarchives.alberta.ca/h ... th-indexes

There is a link to a PDF on how to use the pages.
they are indexes to the original documents.

If she died in 1924 then use the Deaths 1877-1950.
Click on the letter C

the "ce" lists those with last names starting with ce, up to ci.
She should be listed here in 1924 (page 4) but she is not.
If you want to check the link to this index is: https://provincialarchives.alberta.ca/s ... 9-1935.pdf

I then went to the Ca listing. There are surnames starting with ca but also cha and cra ... not sure why but...
Ca (1924-1930)
I believe I found her, if she died in Lamont? And if she went by Margaret?

https://provincialarchives.alberta.ca/s ... 4-1930.pdf
Page 2 Left column record number 1952
died in 1924
You can order a copy of her death certificate from PAA. They will send an electronic copy by email. It takes a couple of days.

Please let me know what it says.
