Re: Luke Clemons and "Puzzling...1949 Obituary for Sophie Anderson, shows daughter Mrs. L. Clemons, Peguis." Mrs. L. Clemons, Kate, was a lady of the finest, and I believe she preferred to be known as Mrs.L. Clemons. I met her a few years before she died at age 104. She's buried at Mapleton Cemtery beside her son Edward and wife Toots (my Mom's sister). Next time I'm out, I can check the dates. Her full name is Katherine Robena Margaret Lydia Anderson.

Ralph's wife Mary Elizabeth (Mope) died Jan.31, 1970 Selkirk General Hospital

John Lafoy (Lefoi) Clemons father's name is Richard.
Catherine Erasmus is the daughter of Peter Erasmus Sr. and Catherine Budd.

First, I have made a correction in the LUKE CLEMONS page. Sorry for the screw-up.

That 1949 Free Press article was not an obituary, rather it was Sophie's 93rd Birthday Celebration. The same thing about daughter Mrs. L. CLEMONS residing in Peguis at that time still puzzles me however.

Thanks to your much appreciated help, Bonnie, I have updated Ralph CLEMONS' Page as well.
Do you have any more info regarding John Lefoy's father, Richard CLEMONS? That is also new to me.

Sorry, but I have no further information on Richard Clemons and don't know if the spelling of Clemons at that time is correct. It varies on different sites.

Thanks Gary. You still have Mope's Mother's parents as "Thomas". On another page you have "Favel".

Yes, I know Bonnie. I am still at work sorting this all out. I am right now working on a Family Page for William SINCLAIR (1856-1924) which I hope will make it easier for everyone to discuss/ debate the issues. I hope to have it up for viewing by tonight.

Hopefully we will get comments from other people as well so we can solve this puzzle once and for all.

There are links to the other new Pages with preset Topics for each. Please post comments under the various specific Topics indicated on each page.
