I thinks I have the solution to your problem Eileen. The problem is that you are ‘barking up the wrong Tree’ (Family Tree that is – joking).
The way I see it (from my own files): George Elmer BRUYERE (b-1907) was NOT a child of Alfred BRUYERE (1884-1965).

Instead, I have George Elmer BRUYERE (born May 4, 1914) who married Bella Rose MORRISSEAU as a son of Josephine PAYPOMIGIGHIGOOKE (POT) VINCENT and Alexander Robert BRUYERE (1882-1949).

By my accounts, he would be the great-great grandfather of Rose BRUYERE who married your son Arnold.
