Yes I am I am the youngest grandchild of grandpa Lawrence I am 28 years old my moms only 58 she was ten years younger then my dad so you would be first cousins to David Jakobsen

Yes, David is a cousin, son of Tony and Mary (Almer) Jakobsen. There is also Daryl (son of Ken and Marie Almer) and lots of other cousins.

It is sad as children we visited and all played together - I remember the great times at the cabin at Emma Lake or as I said visiting Aunt Mabel and Uncle Tom on the farm ---then when we got older they pass away and the cousins sort of drift apart. My dad owned Frank Almer's Music Store --then Johnny ran it and then retired out to the cabin at the lake.

Ya my mom thought your dad owned it I live on the farm my dad was raised on just down the road from our little family church

Are you close to Coxby? as I know alot of the relatives are buried there, I can't quite remember the area as haven't been out to that area for years and years --Is this the cemetery that you mentioned that relatives are buried at?

Yes I am close to Coxby I just live down the road from the cemetery

Hi Jamie, a cousin of ours died last week. Linda (Patterson) Gransden. She lived in Winnipeg. She was the daughter of Luthia and Bruce Patterson. Luthia (rip) was the daughter of Nanny and Frank Almer. This was in the paper.
LINDA LUTHIA GRANSDEN (nee PATTERSON) April 18, 1948 - May 18, 2016 The family of Linda Gransden are saddened to announce her passing at the St. Boniface Hospital on May 18, 2016. Linda, 68 years old, died peacefully in her sleep. In addition to her many friends Linda leaves to grieve her daughters Michelle (Dave) and Tracey, her sons Trevor (Carol) and Ryan (Andrea), grandchildren Renée, Austin, Cole, AJ, Jake, Ryder, Lexi, Jaxson and Alysha, and great-grandchild Jace. Linda also leaves to mourn her brothers Wayne (Randy) of Port Dover and Dale (Bara) of Lac du Bonnet, nephew Scott from Hamilton ON, and niece Stefanie (John) of Oakbank. For many years, Linda and Jim owned and operated Keystrokes Desktop Publishing on Academy Road. After Jim's passing Linda was the executive assistant at the Mechanical Contractors Association of Manitoba. Then Linda headed west to Vernon, BC to look after her mom. Linda, with her outgoing personality, enjoyed the company of Also left to mourn Linda's loss is a very special and kind friend who was always there when needed, her sister Pat (Don), and her little companion, her dog Coco. Linda was predeceased by her husband and soul mate Jim Gransden, and her parents Bruce and Luthia Patterson.
