Re: GARY STILL (1939-Living)
Hi Gary,
I finally finished reading about you and your family.
You were quite the adventurer.
My sister worked with your brother Denice at the ui office in Selkirk, i think she worked there around the year 1978-1985 when she transferd to Winnipeg.
talk to you later
Colleen

Awesome read, sounds like me, I worked in the Arctic on the Dewline for about 12 years, now in youth justice at Agassiz in Portage-retirement soon but not too soon..I too loved the wildness and isolation of working in remote areas.

Kevin: I did a bit more digging and I see where I can trace your WISHART ancestors all the way back to your great-great-great grandfather, Thomas WISHART (1797-1840) from Scotland.
My old brain is wasted for today; got to shut down now – back tomorrow.

Hi Gary, I was at the 100th anniversary at the Robinson spur cemetery/ Mustard seed chapel on Sunday the 10th ,my dad was being acknowledged for restoring the church at the age of 84, anyway just thought id share a little info. or I could send you a copy of a brochure they passed out , I was a little surprised to read the original petition to establish the congregation at Netley was signed by Reverend Mackenzie , quite a few other well known local names as well as my grandfather Peter Moore and Ventris Thomas. Just thought you would like to know.

I just read your excellent autobiography! What a story! Adventure, family, tragedy - you have it all. I am sorry to read that your wife died so young - that is truly a tragedy, I was very interested to read that you had worked as a clerk for the HBC - something right out of my family history books - didn't realize that was a job option for people in this day and age. Very interesting. Thank you for taking the time to put this all together.
