DNA

Post by Jlwiebe94 » Thu Jul 14, 2016 12:16 pm

Has anyone had their DNA tested to see what their origins are? I had mine done, I have 44% my father's German blood, 12% my maternal grandmother's Polish blood, 29% of my DNA is British, and 14% is from Finland and Siberia, which I think suggests Inuit ancestry. I'm curious to know if anyone else has done this test and what their results are.

Yes! My averages were 34% Scandinavia, 16% Ireland, 16% Europe West, 12% Great Britain, 7% Finland/Northwest Russia, 6% Native American, 6% Iberian Peninsula, and just traces of other areas. My ancestors that I know of were from Iceland, England, and Scotland. The Native American comes from my ancestors on this site. -Kyle
