I am researching Jane Mary Howse (daughter of Henry Howse and Janet/Jane Spence). Janet Spence's sibling Elizabeth apparently married Joseph Favel in 1872 in Victoria Settlement. And her brother named Adam married Margaret Favel in about 1868 in Victoria Settlement. Can anyone help me with the Favel family/families from which these two Favels originated? It is likely that these Favels came with the migration from Portage La Prairie in 1865.
Thanks!
Favel/Howse Connection
Re: Favel/Howse Connection
Hi Outofsocks. Welcome to the forum.
I haven't been able to find Elizabeth Nellie Howse after 1910. The court took away her property in Lobstick Settlement likely to settle debts. She married Thomas Anderson between 1901 and 1906. Many of the original families of the Victoria Settlement, moved about this time to Metis settlements near Whitefish Lake or Lesser Slave Lake.
Is there something your specifically looking for?

Re: Favel/Howse Connection
I have 43 pages of ancestry for Jane Mary Favel if it is of any use to you. My wife is a Favel descendant and I have been researching the family for several years.
Take care

Hi Stan. So far I have 3 Mary Jane Favel's. Specifically which one do you have 43 pages on?
