Donald, Robert John

Robert John Donald died in 1890, leaving a pregnant wife and a young son.
Does anyone have any information on ----
Robert John (1864(?) - 1890)
His wife - Jane (nee Visignault) (1866 (?) - 1894)
Sons:
John Donald (1887-1964) - this is my great grandpa. I have some information about him, but I am interested in knowing where he lived after his father's death and before he joined the military.
Peter (1890 - deceased?) - Peter was born months after his father's death and was an orphan by age 4. I have reason to believe that he went to live with Norman McKenzie & family at this point. My father remembers meeting Uncle Peter, but does not know anything about his upbringing, etc.
Any information about these family members would be so appreciated.
