Hi My 4th great grandfather was James Peter Whitford. I am looking to put a last Name to his wife Sarah. She is only named as Sarah cree woman. I would really like to know more about her, not just that she was a cree woman. Thank You.

Taanishi. I have several indigenous women in my tree as well, Suzanne, an Indian, a stone Indian. Any Christian name would have most likely been given to the women by the colonizers. I haven’t been able to figure out how to further my research on them.
