Joseph Bear

Hello, This is my first posting on this website. I'm 80 and not very bright so I apologize in advance if I don't follow some rules that I don't know anything about. In a nutshell I trying to find the parents of Joseph Bear. He was married to Flora Peebles. I can't believe the wide range of birthdates for Joseph. The family always thought he was born in 1892 and died on 17 Jan 1966. But after seeing so many different dates I question the accuracy of this. We had thought he had several brothers two of which were John James Bear and Colin Bear. But who were their parents?? Joseph and his wife Flora had a son Louie (Louis) Bear and Isabella Bear and John Bear and Donald Bear. I'm pretty sure this Bear family was a descendant of White Bear but can't make a connection. Hopefully someone can help? Please. Thank you for this opportunity.

Further to my original post of a few days ago...some family members seem to think that instead of the Surname Bear they really should be called Smith. It would seem that not that awful long ago Smith married a Bear or the other way around...but they retained the name Bear. I can't a record of a descendant of John James Smith married a Bear and the children kept the mother's surname Bear. I think that happened regularly back then and the practice still goes on today... Again this is proving difficult to come to any meaningful conclusion. Still hoping that someone might be able to show me something. Thank you for allowing me to use this space.
