It appears that Martha Foulds , Robert William Tait/Tate's wife would be a direct decendant of Peter Fidler 1769-1822. Also if White Bear was indeed Phillip Turnor then my grandfather Frederick Maurice Etelbert Tate (Tait) - Robert and Martha's son would be a direct descendant to both of these men. I may be way off the mark, but what interesting people they all were.

Gary, I had my DNA taken through ancestry.com and a family connection to Joseph Turner came up. William Tait and Mary Bear are my 4th great grandparents. Would you believe this would be a good indication that (White Bear (John Turner)) and Joseph Turner were brothers. There are no other connections I would have to Joseph , or none I can find as of yet. Thank You Gary. Becky Gunness
